Having grown up in Ottawa, started all my businesses here, and now raising a family here, I have always been a supporter of various community causes across the region. Our company, Capital Integral Property Management, and the associated group of companies (link) has grown over the past few years and is now an industry leader in condominium management services.
A conversation with some of our team members a few years ago led to the creation of what is now the Capital Integral Charitable Foundation (“CICF”).
The primary goal of the CICF is to support children in our community with the daily necessities to.
Our first effort at fundraising was to support the 24 Hours at Tremblant in Dec 2019. With the help of some excellent sponsors and dedicated staff, we raised $70,000 for children’s charities through this fun and exciting event (link).
Our second initiative was to support the School Breakfast Program through the Ottawa Network for Education. Our decision to support the School Breakfast Program was driven by the knowledge that 1 in 5 five students head to school each day with an empty stomach. How can we expect our children to succeed without nutrition? We committed to 3 years at $75,000.00 a year, we are so pleased to share that we will be completing our third year in 2023 and have exceeded the original commitment. We are excited to announce that we have committed to another 2 years at $50,000.00 a year.
We are currently in the pilot stage of a new community project that will reach out directly to those neighborhoods in the most need. Stay tuned for further announcements on this in late 2023 when the pilot is completed.
We are immensely proud of those businesses that have come onside to support us with multi-year commitments.
I challenge all business owners out there to join our efforts and support our community by helping CICF or choosing another charity close to your heart.
