CI Charitable Foundation to host second annual auction for School Breakfast Program

On November 22, the CI Charitable Foundation (CICF) will be launching its second annual online auction to raise funds for the Ottawa Network for Education’s (ONFE) School Breakfast Program.

The School Breakfast Program has a tremendous impact on Ottawa’s children and youth. Research confirms that children and youth who eat a healthy breakfast engage more in class, perform better academically, have better attendance, and have fewer behaviour issues.

Kevin Darling, Chair of the Capital Integral Charitable Foundation commented, “One of the most important aspects of our society is the development of our children and it is proven that children that have a healthy breakfast are better prepared for their daily learning and activities, so what better way to support the development of our communities than to invest in the next generation.”

Last year this event was able to raise $10,000, this year the goal is to double that number.

Thanks to a number of generous donors in the community, this year the CICF auction has over 80 items up for bid. Some key items include:

1.50” Smart TV valued at $470

2. Burlar Alarm System valued at $1500

3. Kate Spade Tote Bag valued at $228

Bids can be placed on items between November 22 and December 10. To browse through all of this years auction items visit: https://bit.ly/3vJRNoe
